A Quickie! Candy/Sweets Theme

I created a short a, short i mini word work packet to use next year. I wanted to post about it so I could offer the first 3 people who follow my blog and leave a comment with their email address will get it for free!

Check it out HERE!

I am also creating a candy/sweet themed classroom packet to use in my classroom next year. I had that theme last year but didn't have everything I would like. I use Poppin' Patterns' accents for bulletin board borders, calendar, etc. There isn't that much quality cute stuff out there for that theme. I simply love the theme and am not willing to change. So I'm pretty focused at the moment on that. I don't want to forget anything (LOL). I like to be prepared! I need to get it done so I can print it off and get it laminated at my school! I would rather it all be done and ready to use before we go back to school for teacher work week/days.

Is there anything particular that you look for when using a classroom theme packet? I'm trying to make sure I have EVERYTHING I need. I got the basics down: job lists, labels, binder covers/spines, table numbers, cubby numbers, class schedule, library bin labels, to do list for students, student binder/folder home communication tool, . . . At the moment that is all I can think of. If you can think of anything else let me know!

Psss! I would love to hear what theme you have in your won classroom.

I'm off to be creative! I love it :) Enjoy your day!

I just discovered your blog through Mrs. Bainbridge. I just became one of your newest followers.
I'll be teaching 2nd grade next year, so this post was beneficial to me. I wrote down your list for theme deco. The only thing I would add is labels for student library book bins.
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.

I love this theme. I was thinking along the same lines for next year. My school is 4 blocks from the beach, so I am a little over the beach theme. I also like the word work unit. I am trying to get my hands on more word work resources for next fall when I try the daily 5. I am your newest follower.

Your stuff is adorable and so inspiring!! I'm also doing a candy theme this year and so I've been working on making posters that say, "Don't be an AIRHEAD... Think!" or "Work worth 100 GRAND" (for a good work bulletin board)and others that go along with the candy theme. Not sure if you already have an alphabet that you use but I just made an alphabet using lollipop clip art that turned out really cute. Since I work in a Christian school, I also try to find a verse to go along with the theme so I'm using the verse "O taste and see that the Lord is good..." I enjoy following your blog!

Thank you ladies for all the comments and helpful ideas! I've been adding to my "to do" list. It never really ends does it? Oh well :) I can't wait to check out some of your lovely blogs that I don't already read/stalk ;)

I am currently trying to figure out how to add the reply feature to my comments and it is taking literally hours with no luck :( Hence my late response to you all!
